What does implementing lesson plans mean?

October 112011

I have had some child development classes. But I don’t know how teachers design lesson plans. and how they implement it. I am very interested to become teacher assistant . But, this position requires knowing how to implement lesson plans and knowing how to design lesson plans.

I have learned general theories , but non of the classes thought us how to do these things.
can someone help me please thanks :)
You probably understand more than you think! These are just terms you’re not familiar with. Implementing just means "put it into practice" or "use it." An assistant teacher needs to know how to read and follow the teacher’s written plan. You can do that! And designing a lesson plan in most situations just means follow the format set up by the teacher to write a plan for the day. Most of the time the teacher will have an established form that just needs to be filled in with your activity ideas for the day, if she wants you to write a lesson plan.

And by the way, most of what I know about running an early childhood classroom was learned on the job, often by watching those with more experience. So don’t feel like your classes short-changed you. That’s just the way they are. They give you the "why" and experience really gives you the "how."

How can I use my lesson plans?

I’m an ESL teacher, and I don’t have a class this semester, so I want to spend a few weeks writing something like ESL lesson plans, but I was thinking about writing lesson plans not just for myself but for other programs and other teachers. I was thinking about selling lesson plans to ESL programs worldwide.

I just wanted to take this time to write any kind of ESL material that I can advertise online. It could be for the teacher or the student.

All answers are welcome.

It’s possible that your lesson plans may have a market value; however, many textbook publishers have included lesson plan ideas in their resources for teachers. I would suggest that you begin writing a textbook and then as a supplement include your lesson plans. Of course, there are many places you might test-market your lesson plans, perhaps e-bay.
