EZ Plan can accurately forecast your financial status months and years ahead. Simply input your income and expenses on the built-in calendar and let the computer do the rest. The computer will show you when you’ll need to borrow money and when you’ll have extra money to spend.
Eventually, we hope to tie this information to your debit or credit card so that your daily spending decisions can be determined by your financial objectives in addition to your bank-defined credit limit. If you attempt to overspend your limit, your debit or credit card will simply decline. In order for you to change your limits, you must revise your financial plan. We need a bank willing to participate.
EZ Plan is distributed on a CD. The main program is free, less shipping and handling. You must download the latest copy at least once a year. The basic program includes everything you’ll need to start planning your finances. Script programs, such as loan calculators, teacher lesson planners and smart browsers are distributed separately.
Please visit our website, download a free backup copy of EZ Plan. Install it. Run it and send us your comments. Tell us about your personal projects that need cost analysis and your bills or investments that you would like to simulate so that we can help you get the most out of the EZ Plan software.

I’m a junior . . .relatively, how prepared for a state college am I? If I maintain this pace, is there hope for scholarships to better private colleges? I’m not aiming for Ivy League, but I still consider myself ambitious. Still, I like to know my strengths and weaknesses.
Spring 2008 ACT (as a sophmore): first time to ever take it: 24/36, writing: 29/36
Fall 2008 ACT (as a junior): second time to ever take it: 25/36, writing: 30/36
I plan to take the ACT several more times before the next year is out.
Fall 2008 PSAT (as a junior): first time to ever take it: 181/240
This was the first time my school ever offered it to anyone, and this is the last time I will be able to take it.
What is the minimum score on the SAT that I need to make to stay with my current level, by the way?
I’m taking AP English and Composition III, AP US History, Honors Chemistry, and Honors Algebra II, Spanish II, Debate, Sociology (this is my first year at a public school)
Classes I have taken in the past (THIS I MY OLD SCHOOL. THIS SCHOOL OFFERED NO ADVANCED/HONORS CLASSES, IT WAS TOO SMALL): Physical Science, Algebra I, English I, Geography, State History, Bible I, Biology I, English II, World History, Bible II, Spanish I, Geography
I maintained a 4.0 GPA for both my freshmen and sophomore years at this school.
EXTRA: I’m in the National Honor Society, have at least 15 community service hours, and take private art and piano lessons. Know XHTML, CSS, and PHP. Have worked with Photoshop CS2 and Jasc Paintshop Pro for several years.
Um, in response to the answers so far, I feel I need to be a little more specific. I have not yet taken the SAT. My current GPA (for this semester so far . . . haven’t taken exams yet) is 4.43. As for my ethnicity (as was asked) I’m white. And most importantly, I lack a sparkly personality
Honestly, you should apply to 1-2 Ivy league schools. You have a decent shot of getting in, plus they are some of the most generous private schools when it comes to financial aid. You’d pretty much be a shoe in for your own state college.
If you have over a 4.0 GPA, SAT scores at the same level would be above a 700 on every section.
I rarely say this to anyone on here, but you really should have some extra-curriculars. I’d look into bumping up the community service hours. 15 isn’t even worth mentioning.
In future, people don’t need to know every time you took the SATs or every course you took. The more you write, the less likely people are to read the whole thing. GPA and scores is enough. At the same time, you left out a pretty big details- what state you live in, what state college you are aiming for, whether your GPA was weighted or unweighted.
1. AP World History
I was wondering what this course is like and what characteristics and personalities are needed to pass in this class. I’m also wondering what we do in this class. Is it mostly reading, taking notes, and gearing up for tests or is there much more to that? I have a passion for history and has been excelling in it since 6th grade with never getting below an 85. Last year, in Honors World Geography, i had a year avg of 95. Am I cut out for AP World History? I’m motivated to take this class and working on my procrastination (as in working on an anti-procrastination state). P.S. Any tips or advice in taking this class?
2. Honors Chemistry, Honors Algebra 2, and Honors Geometry
I’m very excellent in math, formulas, and problem solving. Are these going to be a breeze?
3. Honors Spanish 3
My Spanish 2 teacher recommended it 2 me. In your experiences, how hard is it? I don’t think it’ll be that hard but it will a lot of work and knowledge of Spanish.
4. Honors English
How hard is this class? Period. Honors English 1 was so-so but that was because my teacher was disorganized and all over the place. Her lesson plans were not intact or organized.
Please help!!!
Classes starts in next week!
1 might be hard
2 is all easy
3 might be hard
4 is easy
I have been considering going back to school to become a teacher but I have no idea what it is actually like to be one!
How long do you go to school for y our degree - 2 or 4 years?
What is it like making a lesson plan? I think that scares me the most - planning a whole school year for the kids.
Do teachers usually grab second jobs over the summer or is the pay enough to carry them through those few months?
Also, what if I wanted to specialize in one subject? I was interested in teaching Junior High but also love Geography so was thinking of being a High School Geography teacher as well.
Thanks in advance for any answers!
"What’s it like being a teacher?"
That is a very general question and I don’t feel I am qualified to answer it fully. However for the more specific questions I feel I can at least try to answer them.
"How long do you go to school for?"
You need a minimum of a college degree no matter where in the US you want to teach, so that’s four years of the bat. To be certified as a teacher you also need a Masters (usually in education) which can take 2 to 3 years to get, but the good news is you can usually get a temp certification allowing you to teach while you work on your masters. There are other short cuts to these requirements if you have skills in Math and Science and are willing to go to special needs areas.
"What is it like making a lesson plan?"
Making a lesson plan is like learning how to write a recipe. It seems a lot harder than it is because as a non-teacher you have no idea how to do it. All it is list of things you need, what you will do, and what will be covered. You can google search "lesson plan" and get thousands of them for free just to give you a taste of what they are like.
Planning the whole year is called making the curriculum which is a million times harder IMO. The good news is no one is ever going to ask you as a brand new teacher to make the curriculum, your principal and/or dean will give you your curriculum.
The bad news is they will give you your curriculum and will be expected to follow it, class rooms are a very fluid place one class may move through things fast and be ahead of the where they should in the curriculum another may be slow and behind where they should be in the curriculum the people who give you your curriculum general don’t care, they expect everyone to be at the same place even if that defies logic.
Your curriculum is what makes making a lesson plan hard.
"Do teachers usually grab second jobs over the summer or is the pay enough to carry them through those few months?"
Some do, some don’t, teachers aren’t rich but they are rarely poor, most make middle class incomes, most do not HAVE to work during the summer but some do choose to because it is their time to earn a little extra. Most school districts however pay a teacher the same as any other office job where they get a paycheck all year round. if a teacher is making 45,000 a year that is divided evenly over 12 months, even the summer.
"Also, what if I wanted to specialize in one subject? I was interested in teaching Junior High but also love Geography so was thinking of being a High School Geography teacher as well."
If you teach elementary education which is K-6 (or K-5 in some areas) you have to know a little bit of everything. if you want to teach 7-12 you are talking secondary education and there you need to specialize. If your passion is Geography and you want to work with Junior High kids you should look into Secondary Education specializing in social studies.
i hope I answered at least some of your questions.
