Typing Lesson

I’ve been playing guitar for a while though I’m still trying to get the hang of Jazz. Last week we went over "Blue Bossa" and the week before that we went over "So What?". What’s a somewhat simple yet fun jazz tune I should ask him to show me today?

I suggest Lullaby of Birdland, Afternoon in Paris, When Sunny Gets Blue, How Insensitive, Scrapple From The Apple, Darn That Dream, Oleo, and All The Things You Are. Some of those are a little difficult to learn, like Scrapple, Afternoon, and Oleo, but great songs to have in your arsenal

Just started teaching guitar via Craigslist, and got a request to teach 2 women at the same time, for an hour. I’ve been doing 15 bucks an hour for one. Should it be 30?

I would charge between $15 and $25 for the combination./

People who do online lessons just give you a big list of lessons and tell you to learn guitar, i kinda want some order, would some kind of guitar lesson book do that for me?
I’ve been playing for 3 months and i feel like i kinda stopped moving foreward, making progress. It’s kind of annoying.

There are some great books.
Go to the music store and look through them. find one that looks good to you.

I don’t join any sports or after school clubs but I do get straight As and I have guitar lesson and a part time job, and I do join the anime and orchestra club but that’s it, will I be able to put that on my collage application and still get accepted?

You can put all of that on your college (sp.) application. A job is always an acceptable substitute for extracurricular activities.

so i live out in the middle of nowhere and i have to drive 2 hours if i want to take guitar lessons and im not doing that!!! so i need some good guitar lesson sites even if i have to pay lol! but im serious about learning to play the guitar? also do u think this will be a good idea? the lessons online? will i still learn the same? My guitar teacher is in a band and I went to a concert wear he was an opening band. I bought a shirt to help his band. I wanted to wear the shirt but I don’t know if it would be awkward to wear a shirt (with his face on it) to one of my guitar lessons.

I wouldn’t think much of it. I’d probably just say "Hey nice shirt!" and appreciate the support and free advertising my student was supplying for my band.

This is basically what I like. I’m a 13 y.o. girl but I don’t exactly like pop music. I’ve only been taking lessons for a year on an acoustic guitar, so nothing too hard please. Thank you! (10 points I have until Wednesday!)

VERY easy song to play and learn, and a fun one, too. I think it probably goes with the style of songs you’ve already posted.

Also, if you want to learn more Tom Petty, "Last Dance With Mary Jane" isn’t that hard. The only part that might be tricky for a beginner is the hammer on for the A Minor chord, but all of the chords in the song are open.

I am starting guitar lessons this week , well , more like I am talking to my future teacher , it won’t really be a lesson. I am going to be paying her at the the end of the month, do you think she is going to charge for the consultation, or whatever? I believe we will just be talking about certain guitar books, etc.

There is no way I would pay for a consultation. It’s like shopping in a store. You check the merchandise, see if you like it, and if so, move ahead and pay for it.

The most outrageous charge I’ve ever seen was a neighbor whose dog was old and infirm and had to be put to sleep. The veterinarian charged them an extra $25 for GRIEF COUNSELING. All the vet did was ask her if she was sure that was the right decision and asked her if she was going to be OK to drive home.

There are some money-grubbing people out there and you’ll recognize them when they charge for breathing the air in their lobby.

But, just to be sure, always ask in advance if the consultation is free.

I want to gift some guitar lesson dvd to some spanish people who dont speak english. So if anybody knows of any in spanish that would be greatly appreciated
