I am actually 19. …
I am actually 19. I mean I know Star Trek and Star Wars are great to watch on TV and yes, plenty of people read the books. But at the same time, what science fiction is really about, in my opinion, is more of the human element… putting humans in future dramas. Sure Star Trek and Star Wars do this and do it well, but at the same time… why not share Rendezvous with Rama, Ender’s Game, Ringworld, etc.?

I don’t think light sabers can be used anymore… any novel that incorporates light sabers is most likely going to be lame. Also, Star Trek and Star Wars are REALLY cliche science fiction. Where’s the focus on Orson Scott Card, Robert A. Heinlein, Philip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, Arthur Clarke, et cetera.
