I need to find some good resources, hopefully lesson plans, for outcomes based education?

Obviously systems around the world would be different, but I am looking for fun activities for 10-12 year olds.

I am a student teacher, doing my second practicum, but am having a lot of trouble thinking up ideas. When I look through resource books, there seems to be a lot of poor material!!!

If anyone can help by telling me some good ideas for the following.

Maths - space, choosing the right operations, percentages, fractions.

English - Persuasive writing, different texts/visual texts

Science - luckily I don’t have any, but anything helps.

Reading - good ideas for comprehension, any online resources?

I know this is a lot to ask, but I am good at many things, just haven’t been exposed to much interesting stuff yet!!!! Thanks everybody for your help!!

These are just a few. If you do a search for "lesson plans" you will literally find millions. The best thing I have found to do is find one you like and the make a few changes here and there…just small ones, so it suits your students needs and interests.

They key thing at this age is to make it "cool"…its the easiest way to motivated them. If you can incorporate some type of pop culture into it they will love it. I am a young teacher and you probably being young makes them think they are doing something that it really cool because you think its cool as well.

Good Luck
